International Spain amends the Renewable Energy Act to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2050
The Spanish Ministry of the Ecology has submitted a draft document containing the main elements of the new law on climate change to the parliamentary group and the relevant departments. The draft relates to energy networks, energy efficiency, construction, transport and taxation, and at least 20 per cent of the national budget should have a positive impact on climate change. As part of the climate change strategy, Spain hoped to achieve 100 per cent of renewable electricity by 2050.
According to Spanish agency EFE, sources from the Ministry of Ecological Transformation released the information at a meeting with reporters yesterday.
